True “emergencies,” like urgent client requests or technical issues, are labeled as “critical.” Planned tasks, such as lesson updates, fall into the “important” category. Everything else is considered “standard” and can be handled during lower-pressure periods.

The Solution
We began implementing simple yet effective rules across CODDY franchises to improve team dynamics:

  • Morning focus hours, where no meetings or emails are allowed—dedicated solely to productivity.
  • A unified task calendar within the franchise, ensuring instructors are not overwhelmed with assignments.
  • Regular manager check-ins to optimize current processes and eliminate unnecessary “emergencies.”

For example, one franchise overcame repeated client attrition by reevaluating their approach. Using the prioritization system, the team moved away from micromanagement and, instead, focused on streamlining processes. Within just a few months, complaint rates dropped, while employee engagement increased by 50%.
